How Cosmos Week handles data and browsing preferences

This policy explains, in direct language, which data may be processed while you browse Cosmos Week, why that may happen, which choices you have and how to contact the project.

Last updated: April 8, 2026

1. Who is responsible for this page

The entity responsible for the processing directly described in this policy is the Cosmos Week editorial project. For questions, requests or privacy-related issues, use contato@cosmosweek.com.

2. Data that may be processed

Depending on your consent choices and the features used during the visit, the site may handle data such as pages accessed, time spent, device, browser, language, consent preference, approximate IP address and technical interactions required to load the page.

3. Consent, analytics and local storage

Cosmos Week uses a consent banner to decide whether analytics measurement may be activated. That choice is stored in the browser through local storage. The site may also keep local preferences such as language and the email typed into the newsletter field, but only in the visitor’s own browser in this version.

At the moment, the newsletter field on the homepage does not send the email to an external database. It only saves it locally in the visitor’s browser.

4. Legal basis and purpose

Where applicable, analytics processing depends on your consent. Minimal functionality, security, abuse prevention and content delivery may depend on technical necessity and legitimate interests compatible with the site’s basic operation.

5. Third-party services and international transfers

The site may load third-party resources such as Google Analytics, Google Fonts, GitHub Pages, externally hosted images and links to social networks. Those providers may receive technical connection data such as IP, browser and access time under their own policies. Depending on your location, that may involve international data processing.

6. Retention

Preferences saved in the browser remain until you clear them manually or until the browser removes them. Analytics data, when enabled, follows the settings and policies of the provider used for measurement. If retention changes in a materially relevant way, this policy will be updated.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to your situation, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction of processing, portability or withdrawal of consent. You can also use browser controls to block cookies, clear local storage or reduce tracking.

To exercise rights related to data directly controlled by the project, write to contato@cosmosweek.com.

8. Advertising

The site is technically prepared for advertising, but that does not mean every ad network or technology is already active. When the operational setup changes in a materially relevant way, this policy will be revised to reflect the real situation rather than pretending compliance is a decorative footer element.

9. Complaints and competent authority

If you believe data has been used improperly, first contact the project through the official email. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also contact the relevant data protection authority.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be adjusted when there is a relevant technical, editorial, commercial or legal change. The most recent version is always the one published on this page, with a visible update date.
